Nothing lasts forever. Vehicles break down, even in the Motor City. Sometimes, vehicles that our generous donors give have problems that were not apparent at the time of the donation. Other times the vehicles that are purchased by people in need break down, putting them right back where they started from.
Because we are aware of those dilemmas and want to do everything we can to minimize these maintenance and repair issues, we are rolling out our new Training for Life Automotive Improvement Institute. This new initiative will help to:
- Provide vehicle repair training and state certification for at-risk people.
- Provide affordable and more reliable transportation to low-income individuals.
- Increase the sales value of vehicles donated to Charity Motors through repair and reconditioning, which will allow us to contribute more dollars to charities.
Giving hope and changing the future always comes at a price. For this endeavor, the price tag is $2.6 million to modernize and refurbish the Training for Life building. We need your help to make it happen. As important as Charity Motors accomplishments have been, still greater contributions lie ahead. You can help us to help those who help others.

Training doesn't just affect the trainee, it impacts everyone connected to him or her. It impacts families and communities. Your gift is like a seed bearing fruit for generations to come.
Please consider a donation to help a disabled veteran learn how to turn a set of rear drums, or a high school dropout to give a vehicle a tune-up.
