Car Donors can still claim fair market value when donating to Charity Motors for all those vehicles that are determined not to be scrap and are used in Charity Motors’ special transportation assistance program to help the underprivileged with transportation. These car donors can now deduct fair market value not to exceed the private party value listed in any Blue Book.

To donate a vehicle, you may either donate online by completing our easy to use donation form located below, or simply call Charity Motors (see phone number at the bottom of the page) and our friendly staff will ask for some general information such as vehicle type, where the vehicle is located, etc.  This will only take a few minutes.  This information will be faxed to a towing company who will call you to arrange a convenient date to pick up your vehicle.  You do not have to be home at the time of pick up; however, you will need to tell the towing company where in the vehicle you plan to leave the title and the keys.  They will leave you a temporary receipt showing they have picked up the vehicle on behalf of Charity Motors.  Once we have received your vehicle and title, Charity Motors will then mail your tax-deductible donation receipt within 7-10 business days.

If your vehicle runs, you may drive it in to our Detroit, Michigan - 8 Mile Road location or our Dallas, Texas location, and we will complete your donation receipt while you wait, or, as with any vehicle, we will tow it in at no cost to you.
